When I first went ‘vegan’ I started off by cutting out animals from my diet, as well as their bi-products, then I started switching to cruelty-free and vegan makeup, as well as slowly switching out all my other products such as toothpaste, shampoo, even down to my all-purpose cleaner.

Now that I’ve done all that, I’m starting to really focus on buying animal-free clothing and really checking labels to become educated on how much animals are used in the production of clothing. I must admit, this has been by the far the hardest part for me, reason being is that I NEVER checked labels, I always just bought whatever I thought looked best. I had no idea how many products were made from real wool, and had no idea suede was made from animals.

Although figuring out whether products are vegan or not is a bit time-consuming, it’s possible, and I’m also here to help you!

In my outfit here it appears I’m wearing leather, wool, and suede but in fact it’s ALL animal-free!

I’m wearing one of my favourite bags by Matt & Nat, it’s called ‘blinkin,’ and if you go right now it’s on special for $62.50! Absolute steal of a deal since it’s usually $125.

What I love about this company is that they are completely vegan, and environmentally friendly where they use 100% recycled bottles to make the lining inside all of their bags. They also educate consumers on the importance of a vegan diet, and how factory farming is one of the leading causes of environmental damage.

In regards to my ‘pleather’ pants I have about 6 pairs, all coming from different stores. They’re quite easy to find.

Windsor Store is one of my favourite online shopping boutiques, I get 90% of my clothes from here. What I love about them is that they really stay on top of trends, and have great prices.

Here are a few faux leather leggings they carry:

My faux wool hat is also from Windsor Store, it’s made from 100% polyester but for some STRANGE reason on their website it says it’s made from 100% wool! I sent them an email to let them know but I have never received a response.

Next up is my ‘wool’ looking vest which is actually made from 100% polyester. I got this from Le Chateau about three years ago, and don’t seem to see it on their website anymore. There are tons of faux wool, and faux fur vests that there is no need to purchase the real thing anymore.

Here are a few just from Windsor Store:

My suede booties are from Nordstrom, they have TONS of vegan products.
